Romero y Juila is a short film (40 minutes) to be submitted to various film festivals. The story is a modern era retelling of Romeo and Juliet in a war zone, with each character on oppositte sides of the battle. Romero is ordered to execute a young girl, Julia, and refuses, instead killing the offier and taking her away and escaping the war with her. Dialogue is exclusively line for line from the original play, but the scenes and spirits are altered. There are several love scenes so you must be comfortable in your own skin, but your nudity will not be shown in actual film as you will be blocked off via 'magic blanket' effect. The set will be closed set on days those scenes are shot to provide greater comfort. Other days will employ a full set cast and crew. The shoot itself will be held next spring on weekends, so you must be available at those times. You will be paid $800 for the 4 weekends the filming will take.
