Студент-випускник факультету мистецтв Ю Сін змушений за наполяганням свого професора провести місяць, працюючи замісником учителя в сільській старшій школі, в надії, що зміна обстановки надихне Ю Сіна і допоможе йому врятувати відхилений дипломний проєкт. Після прибуття Ю Сін зустрічає Сюй Лу Хуей, життєрадісну старшокласницю, яка пристрасно захоплюється живописом, але має обмежені можливості для його вивчення. Хоча їхні перші взаємодії були не найгладшими, зрештою вони укладають угоду: якщо Лу Хуей возитиме Ю Сіна до місць для plein air замальовок, Ю Сін даватиме Лу Хуей приватні уроки мистецтва в позашкільний час.
