Поліцейська Іріс Броман, яка нещодавно овдовіла, переїжджає зі Стокгольма до Істада на півдні Швеції, де житиме в будинку своєї сестри, обіймаючи нову посаду керівника відділу «заглушених» справ у Мальме.
